Q.  How do I log in?

A.  If you have already registered, place your login name and password in the login space provided in the upper right hand corner and click "Submit."  If you have not registered, see below.

Q.  How do I register?

A.  All HCEA members -- up to five contacts at each member organization -- can register to use this site for free.  Please go to the Register page and select “Register to search the database.”  This will open a registration screen where you can supply your name, company, phone number, email address, user ID of your choice and password.  Then click "Submit."  You will automatically be registered to use the meeting search.  Your user name and password will be sent to the e-mail address on file for you within a few minutes.

Q.  Is there a charge to use the Online Directory?

A.  The Online Directory is a FREE benefit of HCEA membership.   If you are not an HCEA member, you can join HCEA and be using this online database of healthcare meetings as well as enjoying all the other great benefits of HCEA membership.  Visit www.hcea.org to learn more. 

Q.  I am with an association or organizer of a healthcare meeting.  How can I add my meeting to this database?

Q.  How can I advertise on this site?

Q.  I'm trying to do a meetings search but it isn't working.  Any ideas? 

A.  Here are a few search tips that might be helpful:

When searching for a meeting by name, use a unique part of the name.  For instance “American Nurse” will yield a more exact response than simply “American” or “Nurse.”  On the other hand using “Nurs” will yield meetings with both the word “Nurse” and “Nursing.”

When searching for meetings by date:  If you don't know the exact dates (for example, you only that know the meeting is in 2004), search from 01/01/2004 to 12/31/2004.  Date searches must be entered in the correct format, so enter your search terms carefully. 

When searching for meetings by size:  If you want to search for meetings of less than 3,000 attendees, type "0" in the first search box, and "3,000" in the last one.  If you want to search for meetings with more than 3,000 attendees, type "3,000" in the first search box, and a really, really huge number, like "80,000" in the last one. 

Search terms are exclusive.  For example, if you search by acronym "HCEA" and keyword "radiology," you will get no search results.  The program will show you only results that match both search terms, not either. 

Q.  What is "My Meetings?"

A.  One of the most useful tools on this site.  Use "My Meetings" to keep track of only those meetings you care about.  After you have done an initial search and found a meeting you want, you can add it to "My Meetings" using the button at the bottom of the event detail page.  From then on, just go to "My Meetings" to check on updates to that meeting.  You won't have to search for it again using the entire database.  Any updates made to the data are real-time and will be reflected in "My Meetings."
